Joanna Bérenger After Her Resignation: 'I Believe in Militant Values and Trust the One Who Embodies Them Best for 50 Years'
Joanna Bérenger resigned from her position as Junior Minister for the Environment on Monday, following in the footsteps of her father, Paul Bérenger, leader of the MMM, who stepped down as Deputy Prime Minister on Friday.
"I believe in militant values and trust the one who embodies them best for the past 50 years," Joanna Bérenger posted on her Facebook page after her resignation.
Here’s her post:
"I have resigned from my role as Junior Minister at the Ministry of Environment, Waste Management, and Climate Change.
Once again, I wholeheartedly thank the officers and civil servants from whom I learned so much over the past 15 months. I have urged them to always think of the country first in every decision they must make.
I will continue to do the same, and this is actually what motivated my decision. I believe in militant values and I have confidence in the one who embodies them best for the last 50 years."
