The Party or the Surname
The Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM) has made its decision. And it did so with the coldness of numbers, leaving no room for ambiguity: 49 votes against 2. Out of 51 voters, the central committee overwhelmingly chose to remain in government. This is not merely a vote; it is a repudiation. Furthermore, it is a moment of truth. For the first time in a long while, the purple party has wielded its power against the one who has embodied it for half a century: Paul Bérenger.
