During the press conference of the MMM Central Committee on Friday, March 27, at the Hennessy Park Hotel in Ébène, Rajesh Bhagwan sarcastically commented on the likely political composition around Paul Bérenger: "His new companions to team up with him are Nita Deerpalsingh, Anil Gayan, Ivan Collendaveloo, Roshi Bhadain, Nando Bodha, Rama Valayden… they will form a football team."

When asked about the MMM's ability to govern calmly despite the uncertainties surrounding Paul Bérenger's resignation from the government, Reza Uteem stated that on that Friday, they participated in "one of the best Cabinet meetings," especially amid a challenging economic context. He mentioned the surge in oil and gas prices due to the conflict in the Middle East, the rise in freight costs, and the Rs 10 billion related to the sovereignty of Chagos. "The people want to know what the government will do to withstand and counteract this economic crisis. It is in government, when we put our heads together and work collectively, that we can find solutions and put them into practice. That is when you bring about real change."

Reza Uteem added: "Going into opposition, criticizing is easy. Accepting criticism is harder. Saying is easy, doing is harder. Taking on your responsibilities is harder than just running away." On his part, Ajay Guness emphasized the need for stability: "It is time for the country to gain serenity after three crises with Paul Bérenger since November. A responsible person must understand that the country needs to achieve stability. We are working because we are in government."
