"The decision announced by Paul Bérenger himself, that a significant majority of the Central Committee members wish for the MMM to remain in the government, remains valid as long as it is not overturned by the Assembly of Delegates," stated Minister Ajay Gunness following the MMM regional committee meeting for constituency No. 17 (Curepipe/Midlands), which took place this evening at the Curepipe town hall.
Ajay Gunness asserts that the Central Committee and the Assembly of Delegates are the two main bodies of the MMM.
In response to a question from the press, he explained that the Central Committee has decided to hold its meeting this Friday at Hennessy Park in Ébène, instead of this Saturday at the Beau-Bassin/Rose-Hill town hall, to avoid a clash with the gathering that Paul Bérenger has planned for this Saturday.
Ajay Gunness confirms that Paul Bérenger is still the leader of the MMM and that he can also attend the Central Committee meeting.
