The MMM Constitution: An "Inapplicable Gibberish" According to Paul Bérenger
The image of Reza Uteem holding the MMM constitution during the press conference that followed the party's political bureau meeting on Monday in Ambrose did not go unnoticed.
Paul Bérenger revisited this episode during his press conference held at his home in Riverwalk, Floréal, on Wednesday, March 25.
"Reza Uteem, I don't believe he has read it properly... he even brandished the MMM constitution to say this and that," said the leader of the mauves, emphasizing the need to reconsider this document.
"The MMM constitution is a document that is completely in the air, in the clouds... Back in the days of Steeve Obeegadoo... it's time to do politics differently," he added mockingly.
He described this text as "inapplicable gibberish," asserting that it has never been implemented.
Paul Bérenger also illustrated a situation he finds amusing: "I find this quite funny... Rajesh Bhagwan is suggesting this... Reza Uteem is interpreting the MMM constitution... and clause, on page 29 article 2: the political bureau of the MMM, section 11.8 (Note: he quotes) 'the secretary-general cannot hold ministerial functions when the MMM is in government.'
He continued: "I get the impression that even Rajesh Bhagwan doesn't know...".
The MMM leader believes that even Rajesh Bhagwan has not yet grasped "the enormity of the situation".
For reference, during the press conference on Monday, Reza Uteem stated that the MMM constitution is clear: "The MMM advocates the right to differ in opinion, but party discipline must prevail."
