Collendavelloo Comments on Bérenger's Statements: "These Positions Bring Us Closer, It's True. But We're Not Talking About ML and Bérenger..."
Internal tensions within the MMM were at the center of discussions during the political bureau of the Muvman Liberater, which convened on Thursday, March 27, in Rose-Hill.
In a statement to Radio Plus on Friday, March 27, its leader, Ivan Collendavelloo, mentioned a convergence of positions following Paul Bérenger's statements during his press conference. However, he tempered his remarks, clarifying that he would not be attending the gathering scheduled for tomorrow at the Plaza.
"These positions bring us closer, it's true... But we're not talking about ML and Paul Bérenger nurturing a hope for what we call reconciliation," he stated.
For reference, during a press conference held at his home in Riverwalk, Floréal, on Wednesday, March 25, Paul Bérenger spoke about the tensions within the MMM and mentioned the reasons for his resignation as Deputy Prime Minister.
The leader of the Mauves is set to gather his supporters on Saturday at the Plaza in Rose-Hill. Meanwhile, a central committee meeting of the MMM is taking place this afternoon at the Hennessy Park hotel in Ébène.
