Rajesh Bhagwan Meets Navin Ramgoolam
The Minister of Environment, Rajesh Bhagwan, who is also the Secretary General of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM), is currently meeting with Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam.
This meeting comes amid tensions within the MMM, following the expressed desire of the Mauve leader, Paul Bérenger, to leave the government. In fact, he has called a press conference this Friday at 11 a.m. at his office.
One question remains: will he stay or will he go?
On Thursday evening, rumors of a possible departure from the government prior to the MMM's Political Bureau meeting, scheduled for this Monday, were circulating.
