Bhagwan after Bérenger's Resignation: "The grassroots made me, the activists made me"
Environment Minister Rajesh Bhagwan, who is also the Secretary General of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM), claims he has not yet familiarized himself with the statements made by Paul Bérenger during the press conference where he announced his resignation as Deputy Prime Minister.
"Now I will go listen to what he said," he responded to journalists' questions after leaving the Council of Ministers. "The public has witnessed everything," he added.
What is his stance on this whole matter? "My position has been guided by everything I have listened to and heard from the grassroots activists," he says. "The grassroots made me, the activists made me," concludes Rajesh Bhagwan.
