Bérenger: "Ramgoolam has managed to dominate us as long as there are ministers"
According to Paul Bérenger, his resignation from the current government "was not written in the stars." "I am very proud. The MMM has the right to be proud that 'we have joined forces' during the last general elections. We have done well as far as the number of candidates goes. Navin Ramgoolam has managed to dominate us as long as there are ministers as well. All this we have done in the name of our country," stated the leader of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM).
For him, the top priority was to "remove the MSM." "Not Sir Anerood Jugnauth, but the 'MSM in the kitchen,'" he clarified.
When asked by the press about a "possible political retirement," Paul Bérenger answered negatively.
