Bérenger's Resignation: A 'Sad' Decision, According to MMM MP Ram Etwareea
"The resignation is not a surprise." This was Ram Etwareea's first reaction following Paul Bérenger's announcement of his resignation from the position of Deputy Prime Minister, made at a press conference on Friday, March 20. The MP for constituency No. 6 (Grand-Baie/Poudre d’Or) stated that it is, nevertheless, a "sad" decision.
"The electorate voted for the Alliance of Change, of which the MMM is a part, to lead the country and steer it in the right direction," he emphasized.
Ram Etwareea also revealed that the leader of the Mauves had previously discussed, at earlier party meetings, the possibility of creating a new political formation and remaining in opposition.
